Job Title: Paralegal Studies Faculty, Part-Time at Reputed Firm - Adjunct Faculty Pool
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience, as per adjunct faculty salary grade

Experience:

- Juris Doctor Degree from an ABA-accredited law school
- Experience working as or supervising paralegals
- Active license to practice law and experience in the practice of law
- Prior teaching experience at the secondary or post-secondary level

Job Description:

The Department of Social Science at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** invites applications for part-time positions in Paralegal Studies for upcoming academic years (Adjunct Faculty Pool). The Paralegal Studies program, approved by the American Bar Association, prepares students for the field of law with courses in legal research and writing, legal documentation, analytical skills, and client relationships. The program also offers optional activities such as internships, guest lectures, and field trips to enhance student learning. The ideal faculty candidate will have a Juris Doctor Degree from an ABA-accredited law school, experience working as or supervising paralegals, active license to practice law, and prior teaching experience at the secondary or post-secondary level.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and teach courses in Paralegal Studies
- Participate in course and program assessment, curriculum and course review and development
- Create learning opportunities for students inside and outside of the classroom
- Communicate effectively and foster collaboration with colleagues and students
- Maintain an inclusive environment in the classroom and demonstrate sensitivity to diverse backgrounds
- Continually assess and update courses to meet program and student learning outcomes
- Strive for excellence in teaching and utilize innovative teaching strategies and technologies for online learning and diverse student populations
- Commit to professional development, student mentoring, and service

Minimum Qualifications:

- Juris Doctor Degree from an ABA-accredited law school
- Experience working as or supervising paralegals
- Active license to practice law and experience in the practice of law
- Prior teaching experience at the secondary or post-secondary level
- Respect for diversity and ability to establish an inclusive environment in the classroom

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience teaching paralegal studies at an ABA-approved program
- Experience teaching law or paralegal studies at an urban and/or community college
- Familiarity with legal technologies and course/curriculum development
- Current license to practice law in Pennsylvania
- Experience teaching diverse student populations and addressing equity gaps
- Bilingual or other language proficiency

Work Location: Main Campus
Employment Status: Part-Time
Benefits: Adjunct faculty may receive contributions towards health insurance premiums or fully paid benefits through the College, as per adjunct faculty benefits plan.
