Responsibilities: - Represent clients in the estate planning process and draft various estate planning and trust administration documents. - Assist clients with trust funding and provide guidance according to their needs. - Familiarity with Surrogate’s Court and ability to manage trust and probate administration cases. - Handle real estate transactions, including purchases and sales of properties. - Review real estate documentation and advise clients accordingly. - Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations related to real estate transactions. - Draft various real estate documents during the transaction process. - Proficient in title insurance underwriting, curative, and claims processes. Requirements: Skills: - Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and promptly respond to client needs. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Excellent research and analytical abilities. - Interpersonal skills necessary for effective communication with clients and colleagues. - Committed to the legal profession and a team-oriented approach. Qualifications: - Current New York Bar admission. - Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. - 0-3 years of experience in Trusts & Estates and/or Real Estate law. - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research databases such as Westlaw. - Excellent academic credentials. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. - Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. - Able to work independently and in a team environment. - Strong work ethic and commitment to providing exceptional legal services. - Able to pass a background check.
