San Angelo, TX Staff Attorney - Hybrid/Remote Position at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** - San Angelo, TX Job Summary: **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** (LANWT) is seeking a dynamic and self-motivated attorney to join their team as a Staff Attorney in their San Angelo, Texas office. This position will primarily involve providing daily representation in civil legal matters, as well as opportunities for strategic advocacy and outreach to low-income individuals and community groups. This is a full-time, hybrid/remote position. Job Title: Staff Attorney - Hybrid/Remote Organization: **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** Location: San Angelo, Texas Employment Type: Regular, Full-Time Salary: $66,500 per year (may vary based on experience) Benefits: Excellent benefits package including paid vacation and holidays, retirement plan, and health, dental, and life insurance Application Deadline: Position immediately available and closed when filled Responsibilities: - Provide high-quality legal representation to low-income clients in accordance with LANWT's policies and procedures, as well as ethical responsibilities under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct, the Texas Lawyer's Creed, and the American Bar Association's Standards for Providers of Civil Legal Services to the Poor - Conduct interviews with clients and witnesses with cultural competence - Gather evidence, advise clients of their rights, draft legal documents, and conduct civil lawsuits - Represent clients in court and before quasi-judicial or administrative agencies - Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for clients and the client community - Design and implement outreach and community legal education programs - Coordinate and supervise activities of legal, clerical, volunteer, or student workers as needed - Attend evening legal clinics and engage in occasional work-related travel Qualifications: - Licensed to practice law in Texas - Prior experience handling contested litigation cases preferred - Strong understanding of the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure and Texas Rules of Evidence - Prior legal services, public interest, or volunteer experience serving low-income individuals preferred - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Strategic thinking and planning abilities - Strong work ethic and sense of accountability - Fluent in Spanish (both verbal and written) preferred - Excellent attendance record To Apply: Please submit a cover letter expressing interest, a resume, and three professional references during the application process. **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** is an equal opportunity employer.
