ATTORNEY – MATRIMONIAL
Syracuse, NY H1: Attorney - Matrimonial Position at Hiscock Legal Aid H2: Join Our Dedicated Team and Make a Meaningful Impact Organization: Hiscock Legal Aid (HLA) Location: Syracuse, New York Salary: $75,000 to $106,705 annually for admitted attorneys, $70,000 annually for law graduates awaiting admission Hiscock Legal Aid (HLA) is a non-profit agency in Syracuse, New York committed to promoting equal justice under the law. We provide legal services for low-income individuals in Central New York and are dedicated to helping people in need navigate the complex legal system. Our mission is to provide comprehensive representation and support to those who cannot afford legal services. We are currently seeking a licensed attorney or recent law graduate to join our successful Civil Program in the matrimonial practice. As part of this dedicated team, you will provide direct representation primarily in divorce cases, along with associated family court matters. Our attorneys handle all aspects of the case, including client consultations, drafting pleadings and motions, appearing in court, and negotiating settlements. This position offers the opportunity to work with a well-established law office and make a meaningful impact in the lives of our clients. Qualifications for this position include admission or pending admission to the New York Bar or awaiting results of the July 2024 New York bar exam, strong written and oral advocacy skills, a commitment to helping people in need, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team. The salary for this position is transparent and ranges from $75,000 to $106,705 annually for attorneys admitted to the New York Bar, depending on candidate qualifications and experience. For law graduates awaiting admission, the salary is $70,000 annually.
