The Law Fellow position at a highly regarded law firm offers a unique opportunity for a recent law school graduate to gain valuable hands-on experience and work closely with firm attorneys. This one-year fellowship will provide direct client contact and mentorship in all areas of municipal and public entity law, including both transactional and litigation matters.

Direct Mentorship and Hands-On Experience:
- Work closely with firm attorneys and receive direct mentorship
- Gain hands-on experience in all areas of municipal and public entity law
- Opportunity to learn how to practice in both transactional and litigation matters

Transactional Matters:
- Attend public meetings and gain experience in public entity law
- Draft ordinances and resolutions
- Perform legal research and provide advice on various legal issues
- Review and draft contracts

Litigation Responsibilities:
- Prepare pleadings and assist in drafting discovery requests and responses
- Perform legal research in areas such as dangerous condition, civil rights, and constitutional law
- Gain experience in code enforcement

Opportunity to Work in Other Practice Areas:
- The firm also represents private clients in business, employment, estate planning, construction, and real estate matters
- Law fellow may have the opportunity to work in these practice areas as well

Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- Strong academic background
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Expected to have taken the California Bar exam either before joining the firm or within a few months of starting the fellowship

Salary and Benefits:
- Salary: $105,000
