This position is based in the Towanda office, serving clients in Bradford, Sullivan, and Susquehanna counties. Position: Staff Attorney Organization: **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** Location: Towanda, PA Salary: $57,765 to $62,565 DOE Benefits: Health and dental insurance, 401(k) plan, generous paid leave and time off for holidays Employment Type: Full-time H1: Join Our Team as a Staff Attorney in Towanda H2: Help Us Provide Civil Legal Justice to Low-Income Individuals and Families Bold Headline: **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** is Seeking a Staff Attorney in Towanda Responsibilities: - Represent clients in a variety of civil case types, including housing, landlord-tenant, consumer, and mortgage foreclosure cases. - Appear in magisterial district courts, courts of common pleas, and state and federal courts. - Represent clients in administrative proceedings, such as unemployment compensation referee hearings and ALJ hearings for SSI or public benefits. - Conduct workshops and outreaches for clients and community partners. - Engage in inter-county travel. - Demonstrate a commitment to public interest work. Qualifications: - Admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania. - Experience in the above areas of law. - Strong oral, writing, and advocacy skills. - Fluency in Spanish is a plus. - One or more years of practice experience.
