Director of Academic Success Program and Assistant Professor of Practice
University, MS Summary: The **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** is seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Director of Academic Success Program and Assistant Professor of Practice. This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position within the Law Instruction department. The primary responsibility of this role is to direct the law school's Academic Success Program. The successful candidate will have a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school, bar membership in the U.S., and strong oral and written communication skills. Preference will be given to candidates with teaching, tutoring, counseling, and/or other academic experience. This position is non-tenure track and can be appointed for either 9 or 12 months. Job Responsibilities: • Develop and administer the Academic Success Program, including teaching courses, organizing workshops, designing programming, and analyzing program effectiveness. • Coordinate closely with other departments to develop programming and individual support for academic success and bar exam passage. • Direct the Advising Program and initiate follow-up with students and faculty. • Meet regularly with students to develop and monitor academic recovery plans and provide individualized instruction. • Promote strategies to address barriers to academic success for diverse populations. • This position may require occasional travel for conferences.
