Commercial Contract Manager
Dallas, TX BR Summary: The Commercial Contract Manager will be responsible for providing strategic legal advice to Nokia's commercial operations in the North America market, specifically the U.S. and Canada. This role will involve supporting sales teams in the internal approval process for legal matters, negotiating and managing customer contracts, and providing guidance on contractual clauses and obligations. The ideal candidate will have 6-8 years of experience in contract management or the legal environment, proficiency in English, and knowledge of contractual and business law. This is a full-time, individual contributor role with a salary range of $143,773 - $236,200 USD plus eligible for incentive pay. Job Title: Commercial Contract Manager Experience: - At least 6-8 years of technology company experience in contract management or the legal environment - Experience working with Fortune 500 customers and global transactions - Familiarity with large, multi-national company policies, processes, and tools Location: United States (Hybrid) Salary Information: - US/Canada Salary Range: $143,773 - $236,200 USD plus eligible for incentive/variable pay - No relocation or sponsorship offered for this role Responsibilities: - Provide strategic legal advice to Nokia's commercial operations in the North America market - Support sales teams in the internal approval process for legal matters - Negotiate and manage customer contracts - Provide guidance on contractual clauses and obligations - Engage early with the sales team to provide commercial advice on deal structuring and negotiation tactics - Establish contract documents for inclusion in commercial offers, ensuring compliance with Nokia policies and mitigating risks - Manage customer contracts, including leading complex negotiations and ensuring compliance with Nokia's practices and processes - Provide guidance and assistance on the interpretation of contractual clauses and obligations - Committed to continuous learning and staying up-to-date on techno-commercial contract terms and conditions Key Skills: - Proficiency in English, both written and oral - Proven experience as a contract manager or similar role with experience in negotiating and dealing with customers and management at all levels - Substantial knowledge of contractual and business law - Experience working with a Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system, preferably Apttus or Conga - Understanding of techno-commercial contract terms and conditions and their associated risks - Creative and innovative mindset with the ability to spot opportunities and synergies - Excellent contract drafting and negotiation skills with a strong commercial sense on risk and reward - Detail-oriented with a strategic advice mindset - Excellent interpersonal skills, team player, business-oriented, driven, and committed Education: - Bachelor's degree in Business/Law or similar/equivalent - IACCM certification or equivalent is a plus About the Company: Nokia is committed to innovation and technology leadership in mobile, fixed, and cloud networks.
