Costa Mesa, CA Law Firm Seeking Experienced Family Law Paralegal or Secretary: Salary Information, Job Title, and Experience Required Introduction: Law Firm is currently seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Family Law Paralegal or Secretary to join our team. This full-time position offers a competitive salary of $25 to $50 per hour (depending on experience) and a range of benefits including health insurance, retirement benefits, and vacation time. Position Availability: This full-time position is available for in-person work at our Costa Mesa or Los Angeles office. After 90 days of employment, the firm may consider an applicant's request to work remotely or hybrid. Position Details: Employment Type: Full-time Compensation: $25 to $50 per hour (depending on experience). If you have a compensation requirement, please include it in your cover letter. Requirements: To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following requirements: A minimum typing speed of 60 WPM or more. At least 3 years of family law experience as a paralegal or secretary. We may consider your resume if you have at least 3 years of substantive civil litigation experience. No other alternate experience will be considered as meeting the qualifications. Excellent writing and proofreading skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite products and legal software applications. Ability to work under the supervision of a supervising paralegal and/or supervising attorney. Ability to work with reasonable supervision. Responsibilities: As a Family Law Paralegal or Secretary, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including: Drafting, reviewing, and organizing legal documents such as judicial council forms, declarations, points and authorities, discovery, and disclosures. Delegating and updating tasks on cases. Communicating with clients, attorneys, and court personnel. Preparing for hearings, trials, and meetings. Filing and service of legal documents. Conducting legal research and summarizing findings. Scheduling appointments, court dates, and meetings. Performing other case-related tasks as needed. Proficiency with Modern Legal Software and Technology: Our firm utilizes advanced legal software and technology to enhance productivity and accuracy in all aspects of our work. Applicants must have experience with and be comfortable with using: Case Management Software for managing client information, case files, deadlines, and billing. Document Management Systems for organizing, storing, and retrieving legal documents. Legal Research Databases for online legal research. E-filing Systems for electronic court filing systems for submitting legal documents to the courts. Communication Tools for internal and external communication, video conferencing, and collaboration platforms.
