Litigation Legal Assistant
Baraboo, WI Summary: Boardman Clark, a full-service law firm based in Madison, Wisconsin, is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to join their Litigation Practice Group. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Salary Information: - Competitive salary based on experience - Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401k with profit sharing, and more - Work from home hybrid schedule available after 3 months of employment Job Title: Litigation Legal Assistant Experience Information: - 2-3 years of experience as a litigation assistant - Extensive experience filing documents with state and federal courts Duties/Responsibilities: - Draft, proofread, format, and edit legal documents - File pleadings in state and federal courts - Open new matters and initiate conflict checks - Organize and maintain filings and files - Assist timekeepers with tracking deadlines and organizing projects - Schedule and calendar appointments and meetings - Serve as back-up to other assistants - Perform other administrative tasks as assigned Qualifications: - High school diploma required - Strong skills in word processing and computer use, including proficiency in MS Office Products and Adobe Acrobat - High attention to detail and sensitivity to confidential materials - Ability to work independently and anticipate needed tasks - Excellent grammar, proofreading, and organizational skills - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Physical Requirements: - Must be able to sit and/or stand at a desk and work at a computer for prolonged periods - Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times H1: Join the Boardman Clark Team as a Litigation Legal Assistant H2: Are you an Experienced Legal Assistant with a Passion for Advocacy?
