As a Litigation Attorney at BERDING|WEIL, you will have the opportunity to work with a team of highly experienced construction, community association, and transaction real estate attorneys. In this role, you will be responsible for handling a variety of legal matters, including preparing pleadings, motions, written and expert discovery, settlement agreements, and conducting depositions and written discovery. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of relevant litigation experience, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and be a member of the California Bar in good standing. Job Title: Litigation Attorney Job Type: Full-time, exempt Location: Walnut Creek, CA, US Salary Range: $100,000-$120,000 Annually Signing Bonus Responsibilities: - Handle a variety of legal matters, including preparing pleadings, motions, written and expert discovery, settlement agreements, and conducting depositions and written discovery. - Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues. - Conduct legal research and analysis. - Provide effective and efficient problem-solving solutions. - Collaborate with a team of experienced attorneys. - Mentor and guide junior associates. - Participate in mediation and dispute resolution. - Stay up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations related to construction defect and community association law. - Maintain a high level of professionalism and ethical standards. Qualifications: - 1-3 years of relevant litigation experience. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Excellent attention to detail. - Effective legal research and analytical skills. - Ability to work independently and proactively. - Member of the California Bar in good standing. - Trial experience is a plus. - Prior experience with community association law is a plus.
