Litigation Assistant

Job Title Litigation Assistant Experience - At least 2 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant in a law firm setting or corporate legal department preferred - Experience in Personal Injury, Workers Compensation, Premises, First Party or other injury related practice areas preferred Responsibilities - Perform administrative duties, such as scheduling calendar hearings and deadlines, organizing case files, and managing logistics - Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes - Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices - Implement and improve administrative processes for more efficient workflow - Collect, examine, and organize evidence and other legal documents for attorney review and case preparation - Draft and proofread correspondence and legal documents, such as pleadings and contracts - Research regulations, laws, and legal articles to assist with the preparation of reports, case files, and legal advice - Manage client billing by preparing, finalizing, and sending out bills, as well as resolving billing issues in cooperation with the billing attorney - Communicate with clients and witnesses to schedule meetings, interviews, and depositions - Manage, organize, and maintain documents in paper or electronic filing systems - Provide general administrative assistance, such as maintaining the attorney’s calendar and making travel arrangements Qualifications - High school diploma or GED - Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies, Bachelor’s Degree, or a Paralegal Certificate preferred - At least 2 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant preferably in a law firm setting or in a corporate legal department - Highly organized with the ability to multitask, prioritize, handle a fast-paced environment, and manage workload with a great attitude and minimal supervision - Strong written and verbal communication skills, including good presentation skills Benefits - Competitive salary commensurate with experience - Medical and dental insurance - 401(k) plan - Paid time off and holidays - Supplemental insurance options - Employee assistance program Morgan & Morgan, one of the leading personal injury law firms in the United States, is seeking a highly organized and experienced Litigation Assistant to join our team in Columbus, Georgia. As a Litigation Assistant, you will work closely with a lead attorney and litigation paralegal to support our fight for consumer rights. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant in a law firm setting or corporate legal department.
