IT Project Manager: Contract Position at Farrer & Co Law Firm in London

Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Duration: 12 months

Working Hours: Full-time, Monday - Friday (9.30am - 5.30pm)

Reports to: IT Projects Team Manager

The IT team at Farrer & Co is at the forefront of technology, delivering innovative solutions and leading the way in cloud-based systems and mobility. They are currently seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to join their team in London for a 12-month contract.

Responsibilities:

- Develop detailed project plans and timelines, considering resource requirements and budget constraints.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project goals are met within specified timelines and budget.
- Manage project resources and track expenses to adhere to budget constraints.
- Identify potential risks and develop proactive mitigation strategies.
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders and senior managers on project progress.
- Manage supplier relationships during project execution.
- Complete post-implementation review and ROI analysis.
- Escalate issues and collaborate with senior leadership on risk resolution.
- Sensitively resolve cross-functional issues at the project level.
- Plan and manage project communications within the firm.
- Take an active and hands-on approach in project management.

Skills and Experience:

- Knowledge and understanding of project management principles, documentation, and plans.
- Excellent communication skills, both client-facing and internal.
- Strong team collaboration skills and ability to build rapport quickly.
- Ability to positively influence and steer stakeholders through periods of change.
- Quick understanding of business and technical aspects of a project.
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to prioritize work.
- Ability to deliver projects on time, on budget, and to a high standard.
- Outstanding customer service skills.

Person Specification:

- Project management qualification (e.g. PMI PMP or equivalent) advantageous.
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience in project management roles.
- Credibility within the project delivery environment and ability to positively and sensitively influence others.

Special Aspects:

- Flexible working hours, with a commitment to working beyond normal office hours if necessary.
- Agile working policy in place, with a minimum requirement to be in the London office for a certain number of days per week.
- The IT team values flexibility, analytical skills, and interpersonal skills.
- Occasional weekend work may be required to support and deliver projects.
