Job Title: Litigation Clerk

Experience: Entry Level

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, and edit litigation documents in accordance with client and firm policies and procedures.
• Request documentation from clients, courts, and vendors.
• Prepare and file legal filings with state and federal courts.
• File and follow up on court filings.
• Communicate with staff and outside parties.
• Accurately enter data into internal systems.
• Maintain compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations.
• Communicate updates, modifications, and requests with collectors, managers, and attorneys.
• Update account statuses accordingly.
• Monitor and adhere to court-mandated changes.
• Perform other duties as requested.

Qualifications:

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work with minimal guidance and handle multiple concurrent tasks.
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• Good oral communication skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Sedentary work with repetitive motion.
• Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
• Close visual acuity to perform activities such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, typing, and analyzing data.
• Ability to operate standard office equipment.

Job Summary:

- Assist with all administrative aspects of legal cases, from pre-litigation to default judgment
- Prepare and edit legal documents and correspondence related to litigation process
- Maintain electronic files and calendaring
- Coordinate with multiple attorneys, legal assistants, and departments in a team environment
