About the Position - The Attorney will work within the 11th Judicial District Child Support Services of TN, located in Chattanooga, TN. - The Attorney is responsible for legal actions in a designated caseload and represents the interests of the State Child Support Program in judicial and administrative hearings. - This position works in collaboration with case managers and specialists to ensure actions are legally sufficient and meet State policy and procedural requirements. Primary Responsibilities - Establish and maintain positive working relationships with members of the judiciary, court, State and County agencies, and community partner staff. - Attend and represent the State IV-D program in all judicial and administrative hearings involving Title IV-D cases. - Provide legal advice and counsel on child support enforcement to meet contract requirements. - Review legal documents and sign legal pleadings. - Stay up to date on child support law and policy. - Serve as an active team member to ensure a total quality approach. Requirements - Licensed attorney and member of the Tennessee Bar. - Experience practicing domestic relations and/or child support law is preferred.
