Job Duties: - Provide oversight and/or generation of coverage opinions and related letters for the Claims Department. - Assist in the development of coverage-related litigation strategy. - Consult with claims clients/customers on insurance coverage matters, indemnification issues, and jurisdictional concerns. - Identify coverage issues requiring outside counsel and work with them as needed. - Attend mediations and MSCs as needed when coverage interpretations are at issue. - Manage annual Fair Claims Practices Act training. - Respond to insurance and claims questions from all segments of the organization. - Serve on and provide guidance to any Committee or project team requiring insurance or claims-related expertise. - Collaborate with Risk, General Counsel, and the Senior Leadership Team on new or emerging changes in law. - Assist in the defense of extracontractual claims and rescission actions. - Other duties as assigned by the Chief Claims Officer.
