Federal Public Defender - Paralegal in Trenton, New Jersey

Salary: Commensurate with experience and qualifications

General Duties:
- Assist in all aspects of case preparation
- Conduct legal research using all available resources
- Draft and proofread legal documents with attention to detail and conformity to laws, rules, and regulations
- Organize and maintain discovery, records, and case documents
- Implement review strategies for voluminous discovery and electronically stored information
- Prepare and disseminate discovery and case documents for clients, experts, and third parties
- Utilize litigation support technology for organization, analysis, and preparation of case materials
- Conduct interviews and maintain communication with clients
- Prepare demonstrative evidence and exhibits for pleadings, hearings, and trials
- Assist attorneys at hearings, trials, and sentencings using presentation software
- Attend and assist with training related to paralegal tasks and specific areas of expertise

Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Demonstrated exceptional organizational and technological skills
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of specialized paralegal experience
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and legal research tools
- Knowledge of e-discovery management and data review platforms
- Experience with criminal defense work, particularly federal, is preferred
- Additional certifications, technical skills, or relevant experience should be highlighted
- All education, experience, training, and certifications will be verified
- Must have a valid driver's license and be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Applicants must be United States citizens
- Travel to other branch offices may be required

Salary and Benefits:
- Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications
