Associate Attorney
Cape Girardeau, MO Law Firm Seeks Associate Attorney in Cape Girardeau, MO with Competitive Salary and Benefits Department: Associate Attorney Location: Cape Girardeau, MO Job Title: Associate Attorney Salary: $75,000 to $115,000 per year Job Description: The Mandarich Law Group, a leading creditor's rights law firm with offices across the country, is currently seeking an Associate Attorney in Cape Girardeau, MO. The ideal candidate will be licensed to practice law in both Kansas and Missouri, with additional licensing in other states being a plus. Responsibilities: • Attend Court Appearances: As an Associate Attorney, you will be responsible for preparing and appearing in court for cases within reasonable travel distance. This may require overnight travel and the use of your own transportation. • Arrange for Court Coverage: In cases where you are unable to appear in court, it will be your responsibility to request coverage and ensure all necessary documents are attached. • Draft Motions and Responses: You may be required to draft, review, and file motions during the course of litigation. • Prepare for Trials and Arbitrations: As needed, you will be responsible for preparing for trials and arbitrations, which may require overnight stays in distant counties. • Communicate with Attorneys, Employers, and Consumers: You will be expected to communicate with consumers, their employers, and their attorneys to resolve accounts and lawsuits. Requirements: • Licensed in Kansas and Missouri: Candidates must be licensed to practice law in both Kansas and Missouri. • Comfortable Appearing in Court: The ability to confidently appear in court and arrive on time using your own transportation is a must. • Willingness to Travel: Some travel may be required for this position, with the firm reimbursing for mileage and other approved expenses. • Strong Communication Skills: With a high volume case load, multitasking and strong verbal and written communication skills are essential. • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Familiarity with Microsoft Office is required for this role.
