The **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Labor Relations Analyst to join their team. As a Labor Relations Analyst, you will be responsible for assisting in coordinating, developing, organizing, conducting, and implementing a wide variety of employer-employee relations activities. This is a classified management confidential position with a salary grade of CFCA 13, II and CFCA 14, III.

The Labor Relations Analyst will report to the Labor/Legal department and work closely with other departments to ensure efficient operation of labor relations functions. This includes coordinating employer-employee relations activities, providing policy recommendations on labor relations matters, and participating in labor negotiations activities. The incumbent will also be responsible for maintaining confidentiality of all personnel matters and may have access to sensitive information.

The role of Labor Relations Analyst is classified into three levels - Labor Relations, Labor Relations Analyst II, and Labor Relations Analyst III. While all levels perform analytical and complex tasks, the level of supervision and independence increases with each level. The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of experience in labor or industrial relations, human resources, business/public administration, law, or a related field.

As a Labor Relations Analyst, your essential functions will include assisting the Labor/Legal department in coordinating and organizing labor relations activities, performing independent, advanced, analytical tasks, and preparing documents related to labor relations assignments. You will also be responsible for advising and training department and district personnel on appropriate procedures and processes related to bargaining unit contract issues. Additionally, you will be required to research and analyze information, schedule activities, and act as a representative in contacts with bargaining unit personnel and departments.

To be successful in this role, you must have a strong knowledge of labor relations, personnel management, and terminology. You should also be familiar with current district collective bargaining agreements and applicable laws, codes, regulations, and policies related to collective bargaining. In addition, you should have a good understanding of negotiating practices, labor relations administration and management, and statistical and reporting methods. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and computer skills are also required.

The prerequisites for this position include a Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience in a related field. A Paralegal certificate is preferred, but not required. The Labor Relations Analyst II must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience in a law-related field, while the Labor Relations Analyst III must have a Paralegal certificate or Bachelor's degree in a law-related field. All candidates must also possess a valid California Driver's License.

As part of the pre-employment process, the selected candidate will be required to undergo fingerprinting, tuberculosis testing, and other employment clearance procedures.

The working environment for this position is a mix of office and diverse school site settings, with the possibility of driving a vehicle to conduct work. The role is fast-paced with constant interruptions, and the incumbent must have consistent mental alertness and the ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. The physical requirements include lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects up to 30 pounds and bending and twisting at the waist. Excellent dexterity, vision, and hearing are also necessary for this role.
