Job Summary:

HCSC is seeking a dynamic individual to join its Legal team as an Associate Paralegal. This position will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Legal Department, supporting attorneys and professional staff, and providing legal support to the Legal Division. The role will involve maintaining accurate and organized matter files, communicating with internal stakeholders, and preparing legal documents and reports.

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and organized matter files, including monitoring deadlines.
• Communicate professionally and proactively with internal stakeholders to ensure legal compliance.
• Assist attorneys in resolving pre-litigation disputes by conducting research and collecting documents.
• Coordinate with in-house attorneys, outside counsel, and business partners to gather information and prepare documents for production.
• Prepare regular and special reports and assist attorneys with drafting and reviewing legal documents.
• Attend in-house training and professional development programs to stay updated on legal terminology and industry developments.
• Provide backup support to existing professional staff and train new staff members.
• Maintain confidentiality of company business and comply with all policies and procedures.
• Communicate with management regarding assigned responsibilities and perform special projects as required.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree OR Paralegal Certification OR 4 years of experience in a law firm or corporate legal department performing the functions of a Paralegal.
• Knowledge of judicial system, court procedures, corporate policies, procedures, and company operations.
