Oxford, Oxford, United Kingdom LAW FIRM - Professional Support Lawyer - Commercial - Any Office (except London) H1: Join Our Team as a Professional Support Lawyer in Commercial Law H2: Develop Your Skills and Work with a Diverse and Ambitious Team Are you a qualified solicitor with a minimum of 7 years' post qualification experience in Commercial law? Do you have a passion for sharing knowledge and supporting lawyers in their practice? If so, we want you to join our team as a Professional Support Lawyer in our Commercial department. As a Professional Support Lawyer, you will be responsible for providing legal support to our lawyers and clients through training, updates, technical advice, and the management of know-how. This is a national role, and you can choose to be based in any of our regional offices (excluding London). You will work closely with the team in your specialist area(s) and become an integral part of it. You will also have the opportunity to support business development projects with a knowledge or training angle. Key Responsibilities: - Researching and staying up-to-date with developments in law and policy relevant to the Commercial team - Sharing knowledge with lawyers to support their business development and client care responsibilities - Providing and organizing internal and bespoke client training sessions - Answering ad-hoc queries and providing advice to lawyers within the firm - Writing and promoting knowledge content to build the firm's profile - Contributing to the development of business opportunities by creating know-how products that meet the needs of our clients - Collaborating with other professional support lawyers and the wider Knowledge, Learning & Development (KLD) team Requirements: - Minimum of 7 years' post qualification experience in Commercial law - Strong legal technical ability and interest in black letter law - Commercial acumen and ability to analyze how legal changes will affect the market and clients - Commitment to thought leadership and the development of a strong knowledge function - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Excellent written English - Good IT skills and willingness to learn new technologies Why Mills & Reeve?
