Job Title: Assistant Public Defender III - Represent indigent clients with criminal cases in Superior Court felonies, sometimes Juvenile Court delinquencies
Salary Information: Minimum - $51,310.72, Midpoint - $68,677.24, Maximum - $86,043.76
Experience Required: Juris Doctorate from an accredited college or university AND license to practice law in the State of Georgia, OR eligibility to sit for the next Georgia Bar examination, OR reciprocity AND two years of relevant legal experience, OR two years of experience at the lower level Attorney 2 (LEP021)

- Responsibilities include managing staff attorneys and administrative staff
- Prepare and present cases for trial and enter pleas
- Conduct legal research and prepare complex documents
- Advise and counsel other attorneys on case management practices
- Must be a member in good standing or eligible for admission to the State Bar of Georgia

- Essential duties include representing clients in court, negotiating on behalf of clients, attending court appearances, and coordinating with court administration and other parties

- Must have three years of experience in criminal defense
- Must demonstrate proficiency in essential duties and responsibilities
- Must have knowledge of relevant laws and court procedures
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
