The Role In this position, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing a caseload of litigation and claims for a large logistics services provider across the country. This role requires a strategic and proactive thinker with a strong background in commercial transportation litigation, handling claims in multiple jurisdictions, and overseeing the entire litigation process from start to finish. The ideal candidate will possess excellent legal skills and be able to provide sound counsel to our clients. Key Responsibilities: - Independently manage and supervise a caseload of litigation matters - Oversee a national claims program - Collaborate with other attorneys and Partners on legal projects - Communicate with clients and provide status updates - Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies throughout the claims and litigation processes - Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients - Work collaboratively with colleagues across departments and offices to foster a supportive team environment Qualifications: - Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school - Admitted to practice in at least one state - 5-10 years of experience in general casualty, commercial, government, or administrative litigation - Experience in transportation and logistics, trucking, and related regulatory matters preferred - Knowledge of emerging e-commerce/gig economy legal issues preferred, but not required - Experience managing a national liability claims program preferred, but not required - Client counseling experience preferred - eDiscovery experience preferred - Excellent analytical skills - Strong written and oral communication skills - Experience with legal project and process management preferred - Proficiency in technical skills Why Should You Apply? - Flexibility: We offer remote and hybrid work arrangements to promote work-life balance - Benefits: We provide an outstanding benefits package, including a 401k match and generous PTO plan - Career Growth: We offer ample opportunities for professional development and advancement - Employee Perks: We offer access to corporate discount plans and other benefits Application Process At Wilson Elser, we value our clients and our employees.
