Litigation Paralegal at Leading Law Firm in Philadelphia - 5 years experience required - Competitive salary

Overview:
Nelson Mullins, a leading law firm with offices across the US, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Litigation Paralegal to join their team in Philadelphia. This role will involve working closely with attorneys to handle a variety of litigation matters for leading automotive manufacturers and distributors. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in litigation, with a strong understanding of the paralegal's role in the litigation life cycle, particularly in product liability cases.

Responsibilities:
• Conducting a wide range of paralegal tasks, including case preparation, court deadline management, electronic filing, online research, and drafting legal documents
• Assisting with product liability, warranty, franchise, and distribution law litigation, as well as other complex business disputes
• Maintaining and organizing deposition materials, exhibits, and summaries
• Tracking and managing discovery, including document productions
• Participating in case strategy meetings
• Communicating with courts, outside attorneys, and clients

Qualifications:
• 5 years of litigation experience in a law firm setting
• Strong critical thinking and organizational skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and take ownership over projects
• Familiarity with various research tools, including Westlaw and the Internet
• Willingness to travel for trial when needed
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed

Education and Certification:
• 2 or 4-year degree and a paralegal certificate preferred
• Work experience may be substituted for education

Location:
This role is based in Philadelphia, with occasional travel required.
