The Role of a Trusts & Estates Attorney at DRM

As a Trusts & Estates Attorney at DRM, you will be responsible for providing legal advice and services to individuals and families in the areas of estate planning, trust and estate administration, and related tax matters. You will work closely with a team of experienced attorneys to develop and implement comprehensive estate plans for high-net-worth clients, as well as assist with the administration of trusts and estates. Your role will also involve staying up-to-date on changes in laws and regulations related to trusts and estates and providing guidance to clients on how to navigate these changes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide legal advice and services to individuals and families in the areas of estate planning, trust and estate administration, and related tax matters
- Work with a team of experienced attorneys to develop and implement comprehensive estate plans for high-net-worth clients
- Assist with the administration of trusts and estates
- Stay up-to-date on changes in laws and regulations related to trusts and estates
- Provide guidance to clients on navigating changes in laws and regulations
- Maintain client relationships and provide excellent customer service
- Attend networking events and participate in business development activities to grow the firm's Trusts and Estates Practice

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 15 years of experience in trusts and estates
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the bar in New Hampshire and Vermont (or willingness to become admitted)
- Strong understanding of estate planning, trust and estate administration, and tax laws
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team and independently
- Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
