Associate Attorney (Construction)

Location: Maitland, Florida Department: Construction Job Type: Full-time About Boyd & Jenerette: - Experienced, diverse civil litigation law firm - Represents public and private business organizations and insurance companies - Mission to change the way defense firms do business Position Summary: - Assist senior attorneys in providing legal counsel to clients - Conduct legal research, draft documents and pleadings, communicate with clients and experts - Represent clients in court and depositions - Responsible for document review and assisting with trial and deposition preparation Responsibilities: - Prepare legal documents and correspondence - Conduct legal research and attend hearings and legal proceedings - Analyze conflicts in legal matters and negotiate on behalf of clients - Communicate with senior attorneys, paralegals, and clients - Maintain client files and perform other duties as assigned Requirements & Competencies: - At least 3 years of experience in a similar role - Florida Bar Admission - Judicial clerkship experience or strong research, writing, and legal analysis skills - Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills - Attention to detail and organizational skills - Ability to work independently and collaboratively - Must meet expectations for billing goals Work Environment: - Ability to sit and use a computer for long periods of time - Must be able to think strategically and communicate effectively - Must be able to read and write in English Physical Demands: - Must be able to meet physical demands and work environment characteristics - Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities Salary Information: - Salary range: $80,000 - $100,000 (based on experience level) - Bonus potential based on performance - Generous benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401k profit sharing. |
