We are seeking a Legal Assistant to join our Wealth Protection Planning department at our Williamsport office. In this role, you will assist with a variety of tasks and responsibilities to ensure the smooth operation of the department. No legal experience is required, as we will provide on-the-job training. Responsibilities:

- Schedule appointments and initial consultations for clients
- Maintain calendars for staff members and ensure all appointments are accurately added
- Answer phone calls and direct callers to the appropriate staff member
- Attend appointments with attorneys and serve as a witness and/or notary during signing appointments
- Prepare and proofread correspondence
- Assist with preparing files for new clients
- Assist with litigation tasks such as sending letters and faxes, making phone calls, and organizing documents
- Order tax assessment cards and title searches for clients' real estate
- Conduct records research online and at courthouses
- Record documents at various government agencies
- Perform trust funding and billing tasks
- Maintain and organize client files
- Prioritize client satisfaction and address any complaints or concerns
- Maintain confidentiality of all client and personnel matters
- Alert supervisors to any potential threats to the firm's success

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or GED required
- Excellent written, problem-solving, and verbal communication skills
- Deadline-driven and extremely organized
- At least 1 year of experience in an administrative or related position
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly to changing demands
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
