Are you a highly motivated and organized attorney with a passion for litigation and debt collection? Zwicker & Associates P.C. is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our Texas Litigation team. Salary Information: $85,000 - $100,000 per year

Job Title: Associate Attorney

Department: Litigation

Location: Fully Remote

Job Description:

- Communicate effectively and appropriately with team members and outside parties
- Draft, review, and file legal pleadings, motions, discovery, etc.
- Review litigation case files and pleadings to determine appropriate action
- Advocate on behalf of client’s interests at various litigation settings
- Utilize internal proprietary software to properly update and document account status
- Analyze and process litigation inventory reports and files
- Comply with client and firm standard operating procedures
- Ability to travel to various courtrooms within assigned area
- Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

- Admission to practice law in the state of Texas
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly motivated self-starter
- Eagerness to learn
- Ability to manage and prioritize a large caseload

Preferred Qualifications:

- Minimum of one year of litigation/trial experience
- Working knowledge of civil procedure
- Debt collection experience
- Prior experience in high volume environment

Physical Qualifications:

- Be able to lift five pounds or greater
- Be able to sit 90% of the work day at times
- Be able to bend at the waist and be mobile when needed
- Be able to read and comprehend position specific documents and correspondence
- Be able to communicate in a common language with individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing
- Be able to travel occasionally when needed
- Be able to operate a computer, phone, or equivalent device
- Be able to maintain a 40-hour flexible workweek schedule
