H2: Responsibilities and Requirements for Senior Counsel Role

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice, opinions, and support to internal leaders
- Initiate and supervise project case management
- Assess legal issues and risks
- Communicate with internal leadership regarding legal strategies and outcomes
- Negotiate contracts and settlements
- Retain and manage outside counsel
- Research legislative history and legal issues
- Monitor compliance with laws and regulations
- Conduct training for internal business partners
- Lead department and enterprise initiatives

Requirements:
- Juris Doctorate from ABA-accredited law school
- Minimum of 10 years' relevant legal or energy experience
- Member of State Bar Association and admitted to practice in state hired
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and PC skills
- Experience in drafting legal documents and conducting research
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Negotiation skills
- Knowledge of substantive law

Must-Have Qualifications:
