Corporate Law Clerk, Governance and Compliance at a Leading International Law Firm

As a Corporate Law Clerk at Fasken, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, including Fortune 100 companies, government agencies, and non-profit organizations. You will be responsible for assisting with governance, compliance, and other general client work, all while ensuring that deadlines are met and high-quality services are provided to our lawyers and their clients. Your Role as a Corporate Law Clerk:

- Assist with governance, compliance, and other general client work under the supervision of our lawyers
- Ensure client deadlines are met and provide high-quality, cost-effective, and efficient professional services
- Work collaboratively with our lawyers, clients, and agents to provide excellent service
- Conduct due diligence and minute book reviews, and prepare reports and remediation documents
- Coordinate registrations and renewals for business names, partnerships, and corporations
- Assist with firm efficiency and technology projects

Qualifications:

- Law clerk diploma or equivalent
- Member in good standing with the Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario
- 2-5 years of law clerk experience
- Proficiency with technology and cloud-based corporate databases
- Extensive knowledge of the Business Corporations Act (Ontario) and the Canada Business Corporations Act
