Advocate Attorney
Sells, AZ Must be insurable under the **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***'s insurance policy. Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen and background investigation. Organization is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advocate Attorney to join our team in Sells, AZ. In this role, you will provide quality legal representation to tribal and non-tribal members in complex civil and criminal matters. This is a full-time, hourly position with a salary of $167,570.21 per hour and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, group life insurance, supplemental life for dependents, short term disability, long term disability, 401(k), and paid time off. As an Advocate Attorney, you will be responsible for evaluating applications, counseling clients on legal matters, conducting research, gathering evidence, and analyzing information to formulate defense strategies. You will also prepare legal briefs, develop arguments and testimony, and present cases in tribal and other courts. Additionally, you will maintain documentation, stay current on laws and regulations, and work collaboratively within a team. To be successful in this role, you must have a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school and at least five years of experience in the legal field. You must also possess an Arizona State Bar Association License and be able to pass a criminal background check, including a motor vehicle record check. Fluency in both the Tohono O'odham Language and English may also be required.
