This internship opportunity is ideal for individuals pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or a related field. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work with experienced professionals and gain valuable hands-on experience in the field of international taxation. Job Summary: As a Tax Intern, you will work closely with experienced team members to assist in consulting with clients on cross-border tax matters. This will include performing tax research and analysis, developing work plans for clients, and monitoring tax law and client factual developments. You will also have the opportunity to specialize in one or more international tax areas and assist in preparing Written Tax Advice (WTA) on international tax and cross-border transactions. Key Responsibilities: - Assisting with developing, recommending, and implementing critical thinking to provide clients with tax advice on international tax issues - Developing an understanding of the technical and practical issues and opportunities regarding international taxation - Identifying when research is necessary and conducting thorough research on international tax issues - Assisting in obtaining required client information for international tax compliance forms - Utilizing tax research databases and tax-related software - Understanding and applying Firm policies, standards, and the BDO Tax Quality Manual Qualifications: - Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Accounting, Taxation, or a relevant field - Leadership experience is preferred - Pursuing credits towards a CPA or a J.D. is preferred - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with tax research databases - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Positive attitude and willingness to learn Salary Information: Individual salaries offered to candidates are determined after consideration of various factors such as qualifications, experience, skills, and geography. The salary range for this position in California is $28.00/hr - $37.00/hr, in NYC/Long Island/Westchester it is $32.00/hr - $36.00/hr, and in Washington it is $28.00/hr - $37.00/hr.
