Responsibilities:

Negotiating and drafting various types of leases, including retail, office, ground leases, mixed-use developments, and licenses.
Negotiating and drafting property acquisition and sale documents for commercial real estate transactions.
Drafting easements, CCRs, restrictive covenants, and other encumbrances on title.
Coordinating and directing the review and preparation of commercial leasing and acquisition/sale documentation.
Reviewing and advising on purchase and sale agreements, due diligence, title objections, and other closing documents.
Conducting closings and completing post-closing documentation and administration.
Drafting and reviewing complex operating agreements, bylaws, shareholders’ agreements, and other client contracts.
Communicating with commercial tenants’ management and counsel on behalf of landlords.
Organizing and maintaining client files and deadlines.
Leading a team of attorneys in multi-jurisdictional portfolio transactions.
Negotiating, documenting, and closing financing transactions.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and J.D. degree.
Strong communication skills.
Knowledge of state and federal court procedures and deadlines.
Ability to organize and present legal arguments.
Ability to handle confidential matters.
Licensed to practice law in North Carolina.
Strong judgment and discretion.
Excellent organization and time management skills.
