Staff Attorney
Kingman, AZ Summary: Organization: Community Legal Services, Inc. Position: Staff Attorney – Mohave & La Paz Counties Office Location: Kingman, AZ Salary: Depending on licensure and experience Benefits: Excellent benefits package including 12 paid holidays, PTO plan, health and dental insurance, disability insurance, malpractice insurance, educational loan assistance, 403b pension plan, bar dues payment, and more. Closing Date: Open Until Filled Community Legal Services (CLS) is a non-profit organization that provides legal assistance, advice, and representation to individuals in need. They are currently seeking a Staff Attorney for their Mohave and La Paz Counties Office in Kingman, AZ. The qualified candidate must demonstrate CLS's core values of collaboration, excellence, respect, and humanity, as well as a commitment to economic and racial justice for clients and the community. Qualifications: - Must be a member of the Arizona State Bar or eligible for admission upon hire - Preferred candidates will have 2-5 years of legal experience - Strong preference for candidates with experience in legal services and/or a commitment to providing high-quality legal assistance and strategic advocacy for low-income individuals Duties: - Handle litigation in state and federal courts, as well as administrative hearings - Conduct strategic advocacy on behalf of clients, including impact affirmative litigation and community outreach - Other duties as assigned Salary: - Depending on licensure and experience - Excellent benefits package, including 12 paid holidays, PTO plan, health and dental insurance, disability insurance, malpractice insurance, educational loan assistance, 403b pension plan, bar dues payment, possible eligibility for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program, compensation for bilingual (Spanish fluency) ability, and more.
