Research Associate II - Analytical Pathology Neuroscience

The Job RoleWe are seeking to hire a Research Associate for our Analytical Pathology team within the neuroscience group. This position is for a highly motivated, detail-oriented individual committed to providing quality laboratory results in a timely and efficient manner. The individual\u00A0will be part of a team with a strong focus on neurobiology that evaluates disease pathogenesis, therapeutic efficacy and drug distribution using microscopy and other technologies\u202Ffor a variety of pre-clinical research and early developmental projects. \u00A0Responsibilities:\u00A0Design of histology experiments\u00A0Performing histological stains, IHC/IF, and ISH on tissue from multiple species utilizing both manual and automated platforms\u00A0Slide imaging, light and fluorescence microscopy, confocal microscopy\u00A03D tissue clearing\u00A0Light sheet microscopy\u00A0Spatial transcriptomics and proteomics\u00A0Image quantification and analysisDeveloping and implementing new assays, functionality, and technology for project needs\u00A0Experimental record keeping using electronic lab notebook and communication of results\u00A0Maintenance of\u202Fan organized and efficient laboratory\u00A0Presenting results to key stakeholders e.g. project teams\u00A0Skills Required:\u00A0Knowledge of neurobiology and neuroanatomy\u00A0Experience with routine histology\u00A0Experience of performing immunohistochemistry by manual and automated methods \u2013 programming skills a plus\u00A0Advanced microscopy skills and familiarity with multiple imaging modalities such as episcope, slide scanners, confocal, light sheet microscopy\u00A0Proficiency with histological image analysis and statistical analysis.\u00A0Experience with digital image quantification\u00A0\u00A0Ability to work well in a fast-paced, dynamic, team-oriented environment\u00A0Ability to design own experiments, propose data interpretation and recommendation\u00A0Committed to overcome challenges and use own initiative/judgement to troubleshoot\u00A0Excellent written and verbal\u202Fcommunication to occasionally present at group and team meetings\u00A0Proficient in basic IT skills including the use of Excel, PowerPoint, Word\u00A0 We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
