WE WANT YOU TO… Pre-Season *Understand trend analysis and can translate trend to commercial big ideas, identifying the next big thing *Present pre-season strategy to cross-functional team *Partner with planning to strategize budget and departmental opportunities *Analyze seasonal and hindsight information, trends, product assortment, and competition to develop the strategy *Participate in Design Board Reviews and provide feedback on silhouette, fabric, and color based on hindsight/strategy *Build Roadmap for design articulating newness needs by month with AUC targets, as well as clear direction on carry forward products (where updates or new colors are needed) *Begin to build and strategize larger marketing moments in partnership with your manager that are supported by the merchandise selection across multiple departments In Season *Approve garment fit on key products/buys and ensure product execution meets the design aesthetic as well as commercially acceptable quality standards *Drive partnership with planning and allocation on reviewing sales, receipts, markdown cadence and style color counts *Analyze the competitive environment and use knowledge to positively impact results, making recommendations to leadership *Identify areas of the business that need attention and take action on necessary steps to improve *Identify areas of opportunity that are trending and take action to optimize *Utilize product strategies and analytical results to plan all merchandise buys, in accordance to budget, for each quarter and present the line at assortment and investment reviews *Ability to evaluate financial and business indicators, evaluate reports and translate the data into actionable information to drive results *Partner with marketing, styling, and visual to ensure key items and big bets are elevated and supported by the cross functional team People Leadership *Act as a role model and provide leadership within the brand by motivating and inspiring team members to work cooperatively and to remain focused. *Continuous improvement on your own workplace persona, reacting productively to constructive feedback and always setting a positive example for your team. *Manage up to senior leadership by keeping lines of communication open in regard to team development, personal and professional achievements, as well action plans for current business results OH, AND BY THE WAY, YOU… *Bachelor's degree *6 years of experience in Merchandising; 2-3 years specifically in the active and athleisure realm *Strong analytical skills *Strong business acumen *Self-motivated, multi-tasker *High taste level We are committed to affirmatively providing equal opportunity to all associates and qualified applicants without regard to race, color, ancestry, national origin, religion, sex, marital status, age, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, legally protected physical or mental disability or any other basis protected under applicable law. |
