Information Technology Manager - Circuit of the Americas
Austin, TX As the IT Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and effective use of all systems and technology resources at the location. DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES * Overseeing the performance of all IT based applications and systems at the location * Training and supporting management teams in the proper use and maintenance of systems and applications * Conducting proactive maintenance of systems and IT infrastructure at the location * Acting as the primary point of contact for issues/user queries * Serve as primary contact for systems support and IT related inquiries within their region * Coordinate system and application training through the Home Office IT team with vendors or internal resources as requested * Consistently follow IT service priorities to ensure the best support and communication to their locations, regional support teams and the Home Office * Support global or major events (F1, NASCAR, Moto GP, etc.) as requested * Provide systems support * Coordinate on-site support for location events as requested * Act as the escalation point for the support of all IT related systems * Manage location system issue logs * Participates in regularly scheduled calls with Home Office personnel and vendors to review outstanding issues * Communicate progress to relevant location, regional, and Home Office personnel as needed * Maintain inventory counts of all field-based systems by location and service offering within their respective region * Follow up with location and Regional Management at regular intervals to ensure systems are performing as expected * Ensure systems and servers are properly patched, on a consistent version of software, and running in a stable environment throughout their region due on a quarterly basis * Escalates location level system upgrade/replacement requirements and development requests to Home Office IT team * Assist in the planning, coordination and execution of system installations and upgrades * Understand and execute technical priorities, standards and procedures for existing and future systems as directed * Reviews and evaluates new technology and system offerings against current and future business needs and works with Home Office IT to make recommendations for implementation * Develop hands-on, in-depth knowledge of products and maintain technical and operational analysis of strengths and weaknesses * Provide technical support and act as an escalation point for local IT support (local IT managers, or hourly IT supervisors/technicians) * Lead and follow up with vendor resources, on-site support, or location personnel teams while working on any given project * Other tasks as assigned JOB SUMMARY JOB SUMMARY: AS A PRINT SHOP SUPERVISOR, you will be performing skilled tasks in the manufacturing of various types of signs and printed materials in a small (yet busy) in-house digital print shop. Duties include using specialized computers, scanners, software, large and small format printers, mounting machines, cutting tools and machines, and other processes to create standard or customized signs, posters, banners, flyers, etc. Types of signs range from traditional posters to those mounted onto sintra, foam and gator board. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: *Perform daily maintenance and cleaning of equipment. *Coordinate assignments and prioritizes incoming jobs to meet tight outgoing deadlines. *Securely package all signage and printed material for outgoing shipment. *Work directly with company's Federal Express shipping agents, and often makes nightly drop-offs at local Fed Ex distribution center. *Ability to run several jobs of varying types and degrees simultaneously. *Maintains upkeep of indoor shop area and disposes of boxes in outdoor receptacles. *Maintains inventory of paper, printing and mounting supplies, inks, and all materials related to printing, as well as inventory of signage hardware and display materials. *Orders all sign shop and hardware materials. *Keeps records related to Federal Express tracking numbers and job orders. *Demonstrates superior seamless customer service. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: *Two or more years of experience in like signage making, packaging and distribution a must. *Self-motivated, highly organized individual with a keen eye for quality and control with the ability to meet demanding deadlines. *Ability to multi-task *Strong organizational skills *Use of modern sign-making technology and software including Adobe Photoshop and Flexiprint Software. *Ability to mount materials and cut precise straight lines on various substrates. *Use of non-motorized grommeting tool. *Make simple mathematical computations in the layout of signs (division, addition, subtraction, and multiplication of fractions and decimals). *Establish priorities for own workload based upon such factors as the need for immediate action, work objectives, work schedule, knowledge of future need, etc. *Communicate orally and in writing with company associates and vendors. *Make skillful, controlled manipulations of small objects. *Physical requirements: Bend or stoop repeatedly or continually over time to work on sign layout, lifting of up to 80lbs. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE * BS/MS in Computer Science or related field preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience, equivalent skill * Minimum of 5 years' experience supporting POS systems in the restaurant/hospitality business is preferred * Core skills such as network, database, and scripting * Demonstrated strong leadership skills * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Able to work independently without close supervision * Able to analyze issues and problems and know and follow escalation plan * Well organized, able to handle multiple tasks at the same time * Experience with cloud-based POS (Appetize, Bypass, VenueNext) is preferred * Experience with PCI compliance is preferred |
