Manager, Collections Vendors and EFT

The Manager, Accounts Receivable position will be responsible for managing and overseeing 3rd party collection vendors and leading the Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) team for the BBM customer base. You will play a role in participating on the short and long-term Accounts Receivable strategies for Bell Business Markets. A strong team leader that can work cross functionally to improve processes, gain efficiencies and reduce costs while improving employee and customer satisfaction. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: *Lead / assist continuous improvement activities relating to collections that drive improved timeliness, accuracy, compliance and discipline that will contribute to the goals and objectives of the department *Support team with conflict resolution on aging accounts and help formulate collection strategies *Assist with establishing targets for key metrics and effectively supporting the team to meet or exceed targets *Oversee payment processing and cash applications related to selected billers *Develop business relationships with internal customers to secure their support in minimizing risk while achieving sales growth targets *Monitoring collections performance according to quality and productivity standards through monthly trending analysis *Ensure collection policies are adhered to and updated accordingly in order to mitigate financial risk *Develop, manage, motivate and coach staff to fulfill departmental performance goals while also encouraging employee growth and engagement *Participate and assist in the delivery of various Accounts Receivable initiatives as required CRITICAL COMPETENCIES/QUALIFICATIONS: *5 years experience working in a collections environment managing a group of 10 *Degree in Finance or related field *Experience managing 3rd party Vendors in Collections *General financial and accounting knowledge *Ability to implement and improve contact strategies *Strong knowledge of contact center best practices, laws and regulations *Proven track record of operating with high standards of quality assurance *Effective communication skills (written, verbal and presentation skills) and ability to influence stakeholders *Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills *Strong time management skills with an ability to multi-task and prioritize deliverables *"Change agent" with vision and execution expertise who can challenge the status quo *Intermediate to Advanced Knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel and Powerpoint PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: *Telecom background with knowledge of Bell billing systems Bilingualism is required (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
