Construction Mechanical Technician
Job title Construction Mechanical Technician (Two positions) Participate in clarifications/discussions with the yard and vendors and discipline meetings Participate and be active in all related inspection activities (QC and MC) Report and give support to HVAC Construction Supervisor Typical tasks: Continuous focus to support and follow-up HSE standards and presence in the yard. Follow up of Mechanical and Preservation activities at LQ & Hull construction yard. To provide hands-on and practical solution to complete tasks and resolve minor punches in accordance to project specification. To be responsible and able to fix minor punches independently. To be able to identify tools/equipment required complete work in accordance to project specification. Participate actively in site inspections for mechanical and safety equipment during construction and completion. To be able to liaise with other discipline for construction coordination. Education and experience: Relevant theoretical and practical background on mechanical discipline. Minimum GCE O Level or equivalent. Minimum 8 years of site experience from shipbuilding and/or oil & gas floater projects Good knowledge with DNV-GL Class rules, NORSOK and NCS regulations Basic use of computer programs for word processing, spread sheets and e-mail communications. Fluency in English (speaking and writing), communication and reporting skills.
