Legal Counsel
Worcester, MA Located in the heart of Worcester County, this Massachusetts-based Manufacturing company is looking for an in-house attorney to provide exceptional legal services in the areas of contract law, NDAs, customer-contract negotiations, and other general council services. Duties and Responsibilities Work with executive team and company business units to develop contract strategies Ability to clearly communicate critical issues, present analysis and drive toward solutions on an ongoing basis Being an integral part of the business acquisition team, providing for exceptional customer experiences during negotiation and drafting while protecting the Company Review, interpret, draft and negotiate contracts Protect and mitigate company risks that may arise from contractual commitments Work independently and identify areas to continually improve and drive efficiency into the contracting process with internal and external stakeholders Represent the organization in front of any administrative agencies Review and update templates for standard customer and supplier contracts, including NDAs, purchase terms and conditions, etc. Engagement with the various operations teams to understand our processes and optimize the agreements Automation of processes for NDAs and Contracts, including tracking of items. Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school Admission to the Massachusetts state bar and good standing 5 years of experience in contract negotiation, with a strong understanding of contract law principles Excellent written and oral communication skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Commitment to delivering high-quality legal services and achieving favorable outcomes for client |
