We are looking to expand our team with a talented and motivated Business Civil Litigation Attorney who can bring valuable experience, strategic thinking, and a commitment to client service. Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Business Civil Litigation Attorney with at least 3 years of experience in handling complex business litigation matters. This attorney will be responsible for managing cases from inception through trial, providing legal counsel to clients, drafting legal documents, and participating in settlement negotiations. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in commercial litigation, contract disputes, business torts, and other related practice areas. Responsibilities: Litigation Management: Manage a full caseload of business civil litigation matters, including drafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses. Client Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing clear and effective legal counsel and regular updates on case developments. Trial Preparation & Strategy: Develop case strategies, draft pre-trial motions, handle depositions, and work with expert witnesses and consultants as needed. Negotiation & Settlement: Negotiate settlements and represent clients in mediations and alternative dispute resolution proceedings. Court Appearances: Represent clients in state and federal courts, including hearings, motion practice, and trials. Legal Research & Writing: Conduct extensive legal research and provide well-reasoned legal analysis on complex business issues. Collaboration: Work closely with other attorneys and staff members to ensure the efficient handling of cases and to provide superior client service. Practice Development: Participate in business development efforts, including client outreach, networking, and marketing the firm's services. Qualifications: Education: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Licensing: Active membership in the California State Bar. Experience: At least 3 years of experience in business civil litigation with a strong focus on commercial litigation, contract disputes, business torts, fraud, and related areas. Skills: Proven experience in managing complex cases, from initial filings through trial. Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex legal issues clearly and effectively. Experience in negotiating and resolving disputes outside of court, including settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution. Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with e-discovery tools and litigation management software. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in both state and federal court proceedings. Background in advising on or litigating corporate governance, partnership disputes, intellectual property, and other areas of business law. Experience in handling high-profile or complex commercial cases. Compensation: Annual salary range is $180k-$250k based on experience. Bonus potential based on billable hours and case outcomes.
