Work type: Workstudy Location: Marion, IN Categories: Student Workers General Description of Position: Work-study positions are federally funded, part-time positions. These positions are generally located on campus, but may be located off campus. Positions are available for general office/clerical, maintenance, and preschool. All positions will require customer service. Some positions may also require clerical, computing, telephone, and filing skills. Each position will have a specific set of responsibilities that will be explained during the interview process. Major Responsibilities: Assist students, faculty, and staff with locating research materials. Circulate and maintain library and audio-visual materials and equipment. Outreach to students Reception duties: Answer phones, direct student concerns to appropriate departments, schedule appointments as needed, check in students, provide information to visitors and callers. Provide clerical support and assist with activities as assigned. Student must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours. Student must be making Satisfactory Academic Progress as determined by the financial aid office. Student must have a current FAFSA on file. Student must have financial need, as determined by the financial aid office. Computer proficiency, specifically with Microsoft Office products. Must be detailed orientated, dependable, have a strong work ethic and must be able to maintain confidentiality of college data and follow regulations guided by FERPA. Preferred Qualifications: Other Requirements: Selected candidate for employment will be subject to pre-employment background checks, including criminal history check, and any offer of employment will be contingent upon that outcome.
