Law Firm is seeking an experienced Workers’ Compensation Paralegal to join our team - Professional and motivated candidates preferred - Ability to manage a caseload in a fast-paced environment with a top producer - Responsible for handling tasks on workers’ compensation claims - Duties include file organization, noticing depositions, discovery, compliance with state regulations, and preparation of documents - Client contact is a necessity in our firm
Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree, Paralegal Certificate, or equivalent work experience considered - Workers’ compensation experience desired but not required
Specific Job Requirements: - Work in a team environment - Strong technological skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office - Effective communication with employees, opposing counsel, and clients - Attention to detail and integrity in performing duties - Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments - Work independently with discretion - Detail-oriented and willingness to learn and adapt in new situations - Strong interpersonal skills and respectful attitude towards clients and team members
Duties Include: - Organizing and analyzing files electronically - Preparing written reports, correspondence, subpoenas, forms, and other documents as directed - Interacting with clients and opposing counsel as necessary - Assisting attorneys in preparation for hearings - Maintaining confidentiality and exercising discretion and good judgment
Job Type & Salary: - Full-time position with a starting salary of $21.00 per hour - Benefits include 401(k), dental insurance, health insurance, life insurance, paid time off, and vision insurance
Schedule & Work Location: - 8-hour shift, Monday-Friday - Relocation to Charleston, SC required before starting work

You will also have the opportunity to interact with clients and opposing counsel, and assist attorneys in preparation for hearings.

To be considered for this position, candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree, Paralegal Certificate, or equivalent work experience. While workers’ compensation experience is desired, it is not required. We are looking for individuals who are willing to learn and adapt in new settings and situations, and who have strong interpersonal skills and a respectful attitude towards clients and team members.
This is a full-time position with a starting salary of $21.00 per hour.
