Must be licensed to practice law in California.
Must have at least 5 years experience in the defense of workers’ compensation cases.
Must have excellent analytical and writing skills.
Must be able to handle a high volume of cases.
Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Must have experience with Microsoft Office and legal case management software.
Must have a strong understanding of California workers’ compensation laws and procedures.
Must have strong negotiation and communication skills.
Must be able to travel for court appearances and other related meetings.
Must have a strong work ethic and be able to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

Evaluate the merits of cases and provide guidance and counsel to clients.
Effectively communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties.
Manage a full caseload of workers’ compensation cases of varying degrees of complexity.
Create litigation plans and budget plans, if necessary.
Conduct discovery and prepare cases for trial.
Travel to court and other appearances.
Try cases while maintaining exceptional client interaction.
Compose motions, briefs, correspondence, and other legal documents.
Maintain a strong understanding of California workers’ compensation laws and procedures.
Negotiate and settle cases, if possible, and litigate cases, if necessary.
Work independently and as part of a team to provide high-quality representation for clients.

As an Associate Attorney, you will be responsible for managing a full caseload of workers’ compensation cases of varying degrees of complexity. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years experience in the defense of workers’ compensation cases and must be licensed to practice law in California.
