Job Description
Summary:

The Wealth Advisor III position in Charleston, SC is open for application, and interested individuals can click on the Apply Now button to submit their application. The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree and maintain proper licenses including Series 7, Series 66, the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) Exam, as well as Life, Health, and Variable insurance licenses. The ideal candidate should have at least 8 years of experience in sales and client management in Wealth Management, with a demonstrated ability to manage a portfolio of high net worth and ultra-high net worth clients with complex credit and banking needs. They should also possess advanced credit knowledge, working knowledge of deposit, credit, and investment products, and experience in a goal-based, sales-driven environment. Additionally, the candidate should be an active participant in a team and have proficiency in basic computer applications. The position requires compliance with the SAFE Mortgage Licensing Act and completion of certification programs is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

- Serve as primary relationship advisor for high net worth and ultra-high net worth wealth clients
- Develop and deepen client relationships through needs-based, high-level client service and delivery of Truist Wealth solutions
- Acquire new clients by leveraging external network and firm's place in the community
- Be the expert level "market moving" advisor with the ability to handle challenging, sensitive, and complex banking relationships
- Focus on targeted prospecting and developing relationships with external referral sources
- Work with various specialists and IRM partners to support client service and business development efforts
- Use advanced credit knowledge to lead conversations and provide advice to clients and prospects
- Partner with Truist product specialists to deliver solutions to client's financial needs
- Thrive in a team-based approach to deliver Truist Wealth solutions
- Act as a culture champion aligned with Truist's Purpose, Mission, and Values
- Establish and maintain mutually beneficial business relationships with internal and external centers of influence
- Stay updated on changing economic, legal, financial planning, and investment trends
- Serve as a personal financial planning/advisory resource for clients, attorneys, and CPAs
- Maintain appropriate legal, operating, and regulatory controls to manage risk and compliance
- Work within existing audit, compliance, and regulatory framework to ensure high-quality, compliant relationships
- Use sound judgment on expense and operational efficiency

Qualifications:

Required:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Maintains proper licenses including Series 7, Series 66, the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) Exam, and Life, Health, and Variable insurance licenses
- 8 or more years of sales and client management experience in Wealth Management
- Demonstrated ability to manage a portfolio of high net worth and ultra-high net worth clients with complex credit and banking needs
- Advanced credit knowledge and experience working complex credit deals
- Working knowledge of deposit, credit, and investment products
- Previous experience in a goal-based, sales-driven environment
- Ability to thrive and be an active participant on a team
- Proficiency in basic computer applications
- Compliance with the SAFE Mortgage Licensing Act

Preferred:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or Economics
- CFP preferred or CTFA, CFA, CPA, JD, or MBA
- Completion or enrollment in certification programs such as CFA, CFP, CPWA, and CPA
- 5 or more years of sales and client management experience in Wealth Management
- Graduate of a leadership or management development program
