This position contributes to the mission of **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** by providing virtual sitting services for patients cared for at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. The clinical operation of remote sitter observation takes place 24/7/365 at the Virtual Operations Center, designed to assist nurses and physicians in providing quality patient care. Provides virtual observation of selected patients for the purpose of identifying behaviors which are potentially hazardous to self or others in accordance with facility policies and procedures and reports needs and concerns to the licensed nurse. Works under the supervision of a nurse manager and under the direct supervision of a shift leader to observe patients for harmful and/or dangerous behaviors. Collaborates with the RN, LPN, advanced care providers, physician or other clinical disciplines to meet the needs of the patients identified for remote observation. This position has access to knowledge of extremely sensitive, private, and confidential materials. Ability to maintain the highest company standards is required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: HS diploma or equivalent education required.
Experience: One year of related experience preferred.
Other Minimum Qualifications: Effective interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills required. Must successfully complete orientation and competency validation for position , AHA BLS-HCP required within 6 months of hire. Basic computer skills and knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software preferred.
