Are you a skilled and motivated paralegal with a passion for trusts and estates? Gordon Feinblatt, a prestigious law firm, is seeking a Trusts & Estates Paralegal to join our Trusts & Estates Practice Group. If you have an undergraduate degree and/or a paralegal certificate, along with 3-5 years of experience in the administration of large and complex estates and trusts, we want to hear from you!
As our Trusts & Estates Paralegal, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of estate and trust matters, including handling all aspects of the probate process, preparing federal and state estate tax returns, and coordinating the preparation of appraisals and income tax returns for individuals and fiduciaries. You will also play a key role in trust administration, including preparing fiduciary accountings, distributing to beneficiaries, and conducting tax planning.
Responsibilities:
- Handle all aspects of the probate process - Prepare federal and state estate tax returns - Run various tax projections - Coordinate the preparation of all appraisals and income tax returns (individual and fiduciary) - Handle all aspects of trust administration - Prepare fiduciary accountings - Distribute to beneficiaries - Conduct tax planning - Coordinate fiduciary income tax return preparation
Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree and/or paralegal certificate - 3-5 years of experience in estate and trust administration - Excellent written and oral communication skills - Comfortable with significant client interaction - Ability to manage a fast-paced workload effectively and efficiently - Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Adobe - Willingness to learn various software programs designed for the trusts and estates practice area
