The Law Firm of Wilson Elser is seeking a Transportation Litigation Senior Attorney with 5-7 years of experience in general casualty litigation, preferably with experience in the transportation and logistics industry. This position is based in our Las Vegas office and offers a flexible, hybrid working arrangement. The ideal candidate will have strong litigation skills and experience in handling transportation-related matters, as well as a thorough understanding of applicable regulations. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of litigation matters from start to finish - Conduct legal research and analysis on transportation laws, regulations, and standards - Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs - Attend court hearings, depositions, and mediations - Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients - Collaborate with colleagues across departments and offices to provide strategic counsel to clients - Prepare case analysis reports for clients
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA accredited law school - Admitted to practice in the state of Nevada - 5-7 years of experience in general casualty litigation - First and/or second chair experience preferred - Trial experience required - Experience in the transportation and logistics industry preferred - Familiarity with emerging e-commerce and gig economy legal issues a plus - Strong analytical skills - Excellent written and oral communication skills - Proficient in technical skills
