Transportation Litigation Associate - McLean, Virginia
Job Overview:
Wilson Elser, a leading defense litigation law firm, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transportation Litigation Associate. This position offers the opportunity to work on challenging cases and be at the forefront of litigating emerging legal issues in the transportation sector. This role is available in our McLean, Virginia or Washington, D.C. office and offers a flexible, hybrid working arrangement.
Responsibilities:
Manage a caseload of transportation litigation matters from beginning to end under the supervision of senior attorneys Conduct legal research and analysis related to transportation laws and regulations Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs Attend court hearings, depositions, and mediations Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients Collaborate with colleagues across departments and offices to provide sound counsel to clients Prepare case analysis reports for client stakeholders
Qualifications:
JD from an ABA accredited law school Admitted to practice in the state of Virginia 3-5 years of general casualty litigation experience Experience in transportation and logistics, trucking, and related regulatory matters preferred Deposition and motion practice experience required Trial experience preferred Strong analytical and communication skills Superior technical skills
Compensation:
Pay range: $135,000 - $155,000 USD Eligible for discretionary bonuses Benefits package including 401(k) retirement savings plan, medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance
