Job Description
Baker Tilly is seeking a Senior Manager for their National Specialty Tax Practice, specifically in the area of Merger and Acquisitions Tax Transactions. In this role, you will be responsible for pre-transaction readiness, tax due diligence, transaction tax structuring, tax remediation, and post-transaction integration services. This is a great opportunity to make a significant impact on the growth of the office. As a Senior Manager, you will have the opportunity to work closely with firm leadership and associates, mentor and coach staff, and play a key role in the success of the firm. This role is located on the West Coast and requires proximity to a Baker Tilly office.
Responsibilities
- Work with clients on tax matters associated with integration, divestment, joint ventures, public equity offerings, and legal entity realignment - Provide tax consulting and compliance services for large mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and other restructuring transactions - Conduct complex tax research, develop tax-planning strategies, and perform tax department assessments - Utilize networking skills to acquire new clients, projects, and revenue - Collaborate within Baker Tilly's matrixed structure to develop and execute growth strategies - Represent Baker Tilly at industry events and speaking engagements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting required; master's or advanced degree desirable - CPA required; LLM in Taxation or Juris Doctorate desired - At least 10 years of experience in Professional Services working on tax transactions related to mergers and acquisitions - Proven success in growing and building a book of business - Strong relationship-building skills and an entrepreneurial mindset - Excellent management, analytical, organization, interpersonal, project management, and communication skills - Ability to lead and supervise others, provide exceptional client service, and continuously learn to stay up-to-date on relevant strategies - Willingness to travel nationally as needed for client engagements
Compensation
The compensation range for this role is $134,530 to $291,490, depending on factors such as experience, qualifications, and location.
